That is why we offer a Two-Phase Packing option, sometimes referred to internally as a Double Play.
The concept is simple: packing is completed on a separate day before move day. The result is a cleaner, more efficient operation and a better overall experience for clients and crews alike.

Dedicated Packing Labor Rate
$75 per packer / per hour
The same rate used for additional moving professionals beyond the first two on move day — because packing and moving are different missions.
This is not a promotion.

This is simply how we price dedicated packing labor when the work is properly sequenced.
Why Packing Labor Is Priced Separately
A professional packer is not standing around waiting for furniture to arrive at the truck. They are:

The goal is to hand move day a mission that is already prepared for execution. That preparation benefits everyone involved. And it deserves its own pricing structure.
What About Packing Supplies?
Packing supplies remain separate. Why? Because supplies are consumed regardless of when the work occurs.
Boxes are still used.
Bubble wrap is still used.
Packing paper is still used.
Tape is still used.
The efficiency gained through the Double Play comes from the labor and scheduling side of the operation, not from the supplies themselves. This preserves transparency and keeps pricing straightforward.
Not Every Move Requires a Double Play
The Double Play is one option — not the only option. Many clients request partial packing services on move day. Examples include:
Closet packing using our wardrobe box rental system
Television packing using our TV box rentals
Kitchen packing
Fragile-item packing
Last-minute packing support
For smaller relocations, we can often combine packing and moving into a single day. A one-bedroom apartment or condominium can frequently be packed and moved on the same day by deploying a four-person mover/packer crew.
However, for most moves larger than a one-bedroom apartment or condominium, packing and moving should be scheduled on consecutive days. Attempting to fully pack and fully move a larger residence during the same operational window often creates longer days, more pressure, reduced efficiency, and increased risk of mistakes.
