Do You Offer Storage?

Understanding Storage Options with Two Marines Moving

One of the most common questions we receive is: "Do you offer storage?"

The answer is: Yes and No.

At present, Two Marines Moving is operating at full long-term storage capacity and is not accepting additional long-term storage inventory into our existing storage space.

However, that does not mean we cannot help solve your storage challenge. In fact, many clients are surprised to learn that short-term storage solutions are often simpler, safer, and more economical than traditional storage.

Short-Term & Overnight Storage Solutions

While our current long-term storage capacity is full, we do offer select short-term and overnight storage solutions at our Spotsylvania County operations location.

One of the most common examples occurs during real estate transactions.

Example: The Closing-Day Gap

A client may need to:

  • Move out on Day 1
  • Close on Day 2
  • Move into the new home on Day 2 or Day 3

In many situations, we can:

  • ✅ Load the truck on Day 1
  • ✅ Secure the loaded truck overnight
  • ✅ Deliver the contents once the property is ready

Painting, Flooring & Renovation Projects

Short-term truck retention can also be extremely useful when clients are:

  • Painting a home
  • Refinishing hardwood floors
  • Installing new flooring
  • Completing renovations
  • Preparing a property for sale

Instead of unloading into storage and then reloading everything again, we can often keep the contents professionally loaded and secured until the project is complete.

Why Truck Retention Often Makes Economic Sense

Consider the traditional storage process versus truck retention:

Traditional Storage

  1. Load the truck
  2. Drive to storage
  3. Unload into storage
  4. Reload from storage
  5. Transport to destination
  6. Unload again

Truck Retention

  1. Load the truck
  2. Secure the truck
  3. Deliver when ready

Fewer touches. Less labor. Less cost.

Secure Overnight Truck Retention

When clients utilize our overnight truck retention option, the loaded truck remains inside our secured operations area in Spotsylvania County. Our truck yard is:

  • ✅ Gated
  • ✅ Secured
  • ✅ Monitored by security cameras
  • ✅ Routinely inspected

Loaded trucks are not simply left unattended in random parking lots. They remain within our controlled operations area until delivery. Routine security sweeps are conducted by the founder of Two Marines Moving, Marine Corps veteran Nicholas Edmond Baucom.

How Is Overnight Truck Retention Priced?

When a truck remains dedicated to a client's project between loading and delivery, the Truck & Equipment Deployment Fee applies for each day the truck remains reserved. Just like a hotel room or rental vehicle, reserved capacity has value.

If longer-term storage is required, we can help move your belongings into a self-storage facility. We routinely perform moves:
