At Two Marines Moving, every move operates under a two-hour minimum labor deployment policy.
Regardless of whether your move requires 2, 3, 4, or more Moving Professionals, the minimum labor commitment is two hours. This policy exists for clear, professional reasons — and understanding it helps clients plan more effectively.
Why a Minimum Exists
Professional moving is not simply a matter of showing up and carrying boxes. Every move deployment involves:
- •Crew preparation and briefing
- •Truck inspection and equipment loading
- •Travel to the origin location
- •Walkthrough and planning at the origin
- •Professional loading, transport, and unloading
- •Travel back to the operations center
- •Post-move equipment inspection and restocking
Even a small move requires a full professional deployment. The two-hour minimum reflects the true operational cost of that deployment — not just the time spent inside the home.
How Billing Works
The Minimum Period
The first two hours of labor are billed at the minimum rate, regardless of actual time used. If your move completes in 90 minutes, the two-hour minimum still applies.
After the Minimum
After the initial two-hour minimum, labor is billed based on actual working time. Lunch breaks and meal periods are not billed to the client.
No Hidden Fees
At Two Marines Moving, we do not charge:
- ❌ Credit card processing fees
- ❌ Booking fees
- ❌ Fuel surcharges (fuel is included in the Zone-Based Travel Fee)
- ❌ Lunch break billing
Every fee is disclosed upfront. Every client receives a clear estimate before move day. No surprises. No games.
We Move With Purpose
The two-hour minimum is not a penalty. It is a professional standard that reflects the true cost of deploying a properly equipped, professionally trained moving team. We move with purpose — and that purpose begins before the first box is ever lifted.
Transparent Pricing. No Hidden Fees. No Surprises.
Because professional moving requires professional standards — and professional standards require honest pricing.
